Day 1: Delhi → Narkanda (Overnight Journey)
Arrive in Delhi and be warmly welcomed by our TOURWITHME representative. Meet your SUV expedition team, and after a quick briefing, set off with the convoy on an overnight drive through the scenic Himalayan foothills. Travel past Shimla under a starlit sky, soaking in the thrill of winding mountain roads while bonding with fellow adventurers.
By morning, arrive in Narkanda, check in to your hotel, and take some time to rest and refresh before beginning your Himalayan journey.
Day 2: Arrive Narkanda
Arrive in Narkanda by morning, a charming hill station nestled amidst apple orchards and pine forests. On arrival, check in to your hotel and take some time to rest after the long drive. Later, step out to explore the beauty of Narkanda – stroll through lush apple orchards, admire sweeping views of snow-capped peaks, and walk along peaceful mountain trails that showcase the raw charm of the Himalayas. As evening sets in, gather with your fellow travelers around a lively bonfire under the starry sky. Enjoy soulful in-house music, warm conversations, and the crisp mountain air, making it a perfect start to your Himalayan expedition. Return to your stay for a cozy overnight stay in Narkanda.
Day 3: Narkanda → Chitkul/Sangla
After breakfast, drive along the Sutlej River through valleys and villages to the beautiful Sangla Valley. Continue to Chitkul, the last Indian village near the Indo-Tibet border, famed as the “crown jewel of Kinnaur.” By evening, check into your stay in Sangla/Chitkul and enjoy the serene Himalayan charm.
Day 4: Sangla → Kaza (via Nako & Tabo)
After breakfast, drive through rugged mountain roads into the high-altitude landscapes of Himachal. Visit the serene Nako Lake & Monastery, then continue to Tabo Monastery, known as the “Ajanta of the Himalayas.” By evening, arrive in Kaza, the heart of Spiti Valley, and relax under a starlit Himalayan sky. Day 5: Kaza Local Exploration
After breakfast, explore Spiti’s gems – Key Monastery, Kibber Village, Hikkim (world’s highest post office), and Langza (Fossil Village) with its giant Buddha statue and ancient fossils. Return to Kaza by evening for an overnight stay under the Himalayan sky.
Day 6: Kaza → Chandratal Excursion via Kunzum Pass → Return via Chicham Bridge
After an early breakfast, begin a thrilling drive across the mighty Kunzum Pass (15,000+ ft) to reach the stunning Chandratal Lake, also known as the Moon Lake. Spend time soaking in its crystal-clear beauty before starting the return journey. On the way back, drive across the iconic Chicham Bridge, Asia’s highest suspension bridge, before returning to Kaza for an overnight stay.
Day 7: Kaza → Kalpa
After breakfast, start the return journey from Kaza, retracing the rugged valleys and winding mountain roads. By evening, arrive at the picturesque town of Kalpa, surrounded by apple orchards and offering mesmerizing views of the Kinnaur Kailash range. Check in to your stay and relax amidst the serene Himalayan setting.
Day 8: Kalpa → Delhi (Departure)
After a hearty breakfast in the peaceful surroundings of Kalpa, it’s time to bid farewell to the enchanting valleys and snow-kissed peaks of Himachal. The convoy begins its drive back towards Delhi, retracing the scenic mountain roads, winding riversides, and charming Himalayan hamlets that have been part of this unforgettable journey. As you descend from the lofty landscapes of Spiti and Kinnaur, take one last glance at the mesmerizing vistas of apple orchards, rugged cliffs, and the majestic Kinnaur Kailash ranges that will forever remain etched in your memory.
